Hi, I'm using
lakectl local
to version control my data directory. Is there a
.gitignore
type file I can use where I can exclude certain data in the directory?
b
Hi Timothy ! At the moment,
lakectl local
doesn’t support a
.gitignore
-like file that skips files during local commit/clone. The usual setup is to use Git to manage your code (and use
.gitignore
there), while lakeFS manages your data. If you want to exclude some data from being synced, you can organize your directories so that only the data you want versioned is inside the
lakectl local
working directory.
