Just ran into some useful Spark docs about object stores. The section "*Important: Cloud Object Stores are Not Real Filesystems*" is particular interesting. (Of course not everything there is relevant to lakeFSFS. But the basics are relevant, and e.g. FileOutputCommitter comments are applicable to OSS users.)
