Hi, On rollback is the data from the commit merged to the latest or it is a swap of the entire namespace view? As I understand merge at the file level happens on the branch merge, is rollback different from the merge?

Hey @himabindu tummala, I'm not sure I understand your question. Specifically, "rollback" can mean a few different things. Do you mean discarding changes before they are committed, reverting the changes introduced in a specific commit, or something else? Moreover, can you clarify what you mean by merge "at the file level"?

I am trying to understand the difference between the rollback functionality (I guess also refered to as revert from CLI) and merge. From laskeFS doc: https://docs.lakefs.io/use_cases/rollback.html#what-is-a-rollback
