Like to know when we upload an object does LakeFS make a copy of the file which is uploaded when a repository created.

Hi @Chetan Somaiah! When you upload an object to lakeFS we save object metadata and store the object in your underlying storage (e.g. s3). If you uploaded your object to the main branch, and then created another branch out of it - lakeFS will not copy the object. let me know if you have more questions
