Hi, all Since lakeFS' main aim is to introduce the same level of manageability and flexibility of data versioning, an awesome feature would be to have an equivalent command for 

git status

. I think we can all agree on how useful the command is for 

git

 users and would love to see this feature in the CLI if there is not already. I also opened an issue on GitHub: https://github.com/treeverse/lakeFS/issues/996

Absolutely. There are also severe UX issues here, e.g. having several K objects is a huge commit in git, but a tiny one in lakeFS. Could you add on the issue what you'd want to see beyond diff uncommitted (summary) output?
