Hey there, lakeFS enthusiasts! I'm currently setting up a lakeFS server and I'm interested in leveraging an external identity provider like Entra. However, I'm finding the documentation on authentication and authorization to be a bit lacking in detail. If anyone has experience or insights on integrating lakeFS with Entra or a similar provider, I'd greatly appreciate any guidance you can offer. Here's the documentation link for context: https://docs.lakefs.io/reference/configuration.html#authentication-and-authorization. Thanks a bunch for your help!

thought more about external identity providers
similar to https://github.com/treeverse/entra-lakefs-sync but not a syncing but actually use entra as the identity provider

yes, but it's only available for lakeFS Cloud and Enterprise right? I cannot configure my self-managed server for that?

the SSO part is LakeFS way get money back from their hard work. So I would not expect lakeFS to fully publish how you can do it ... I am already quite surprised that there are actually some documentations about it !!

That is correct. To use SSO you'll need the enterprise edition of lakeFS. If you'd like a 30 day free trial, let me know. It plugs right into your existing lakeFS server.

Thanks for the offer, but not right now.

To be clear, you can configure your self managed server using the SOO package, but it is paid. You dont have to use the cloud for that.
