Hey, when I open a new LakeFS branch from a base branch with an active workspace (uncommitted changes), those changes are not applied to the newly created branch. I think that it would be more intuitive to apply them; I always compare my work with LakeFS to my work IntelliJ (Git) - when I open a new branch in IntelliJ, my workspace is applied on the new branch, it's very comfortable. We are not there yet, so I can't give you an objective example, but I foresee this feature handy. What do you think?

Hi all! What is the best pattern for importing large amounts of data from your local computer/server into a lakefs repo? I actually want to have them copied to s3. Are you managing retries, connectivity issues, async loads etc?

I suspect this would work of the bat assuming you link s3 and manage versions there https://aws.amazon.com/fsx/lustre/

Hi Everyone, I'm a long time Pachyderm user and i've been looking at DVC and now LakeFS. I am very optimistic for the project 🙂 I know that your current hooking mechanism is still in a very early state But I am wondering how it would be possible to perform data driven pipelines similar to Pachyderm with an open source alternative such as LakeFS+Argo. For example, I would want to spawn a pipeline that performs parallel processing for each new file in the diff between the latest commit and the prior one. How would you enable doing that? (today or in the future). Many thanks!

Is lakeFS ready for production environment in Azure? The docs only talks about S3, thus giving an impression of AWS support.
